The Zodiacs is a creator network for streamers and content creators. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used when you interact with our platform at zodiacs.twitchybuddy.com.
We collect only what is necessary to run the platform. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except where required to operate the service (e.g. Cloudflare infrastructure). We do not use your data for advertising.
When you click Connect Twitch on the Join page, you are redirected to Twitch's official OAuth flow. We request the following permissions:
Allows us to read your follower count. Used to verify your stats for the application review process.
We read your display name, username, profile picture URL, broadcaster type (none / affiliate / partner), and current live viewer count if you are streaming. This data is used to auto-fill your application and cannot be manually altered.
When you click Connect YouTube on the Join page, you are redirected to Google's official OAuth flow. We request the following permission:
Read-only access to your YouTube channel data. We use this to read your channel name, username, profile picture, subscriber count, total view count, and channel status (verified / partner).
Both Twitch and YouTube authentication use the implicit flow — your access token is handled entirely in your browser and is never sent to or stored on our servers. It is discarded when you leave the page.
When you submit a creator or moderator application, the following information is stored in our database:
Application data is stored securely in Cloudflare KV and is accessible only to The Zodiacs founders and co-founders via the admin panel.
If your application is denied, your data is retained for a reasonable period in case of disputes, then may be deleted on request.
If you are accepted and claim a creator account, the following data is stored:
Profile data you add is publicly visible on your creator profile page. Do not add anything you do not want the public to see.
Your profile bio, contact info, support links, and clip titles are periodically scanned by an AI content moderation system. If content violating our community guidelines is detected, it is removed and you are notified. See Section 7 for details.
The student verification feature on the Are You A Student? page allows you to verify your student status to receive a Discord role.
Your student or institutional email address, the team member you selected, and the timestamp of verification.
Verification records are stored in Cloudflare KV. The verification code itself expires after 10 minutes. Your email and verified status are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion or a founder revokes your status.
Your student email is stored securely and used only to verify your student status. It will not be shared or used for anything else.
We use Cloudflare's Workers AI to automatically review content submitted to the platform in two ways:
When you submit a creator application, an AI model reviews your stats and platform status against our acceptance criteria. The AI does not read your written responses for this decision — only your verified numerical data and platform status. If the AI cannot make a confident decision, your application is forwarded to the founders for manual review.
Creator profile content (bio, contact info, support links, clip titles) is scanned periodically and on save for policy violations. The scanner looks for slurs, hate speech, harassment, and explicit content. Casual swearing in a gaming context is permitted and will not be flagged. If a violation is detected:
Images you upload for your profile picture or banner are scanned by an AI vision model before being stored. Images containing nudity, explicit content, or graphic violence are rejected and not stored.
AI decisions are made using Cloudflare's on-platform AI infrastructure. Your content is not sent to any third-party AI provider.
Images you upload through the creator dashboard are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage. Uploaded images are publicly accessible via a CDN URL and will be visible on your public profile page.
If you enable browser push notifications on the creator dashboard, your browser generates a push subscription token. This token is stored in our database and used to deliver notifications to your browser when events occur (new moderator applications, team announcements, etc.).
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
